Where does Axfar recruit drivers?
We support transport employers across Central Scotland, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, North and South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, West Lothian, Falkirk and Stirling. Our Bellshill base is close to operations in Motherwell, Hamilton, Coatbridge, Airdrie and Cumbernauld. For a depot elsewhere in the UK, send the postcode and shift details so we can discuss your requirement.
Can I request a driver for an urgent shift?
Yes. Call 03300 435 488 with the depot, vehicle category, start time and duties. We will discuss availability and what may be possible. A driver is only booked once the assignment has been agreed.
Do you handle temporary and permanent driver recruitment?
Yes. You can enquire about individual shifts, holiday or sickness cover, ongoing temporary work and permanent driving roles. Include the expected duration, shift pattern and pay range so we can discuss the right recruitment approach.
What should I include in an HGV driver enquiry?
Include the depot postcode, Class 1 or Class 2 requirement, vehicle and trailer type, routes, typical drops, loading duties, shift times and expected duration. Tell us about any nights away, minimum experience, Driver CPC and tachograph requirements, site induction or driving assessment.
How are driver requirements and assessments agreed?
Tell us the licence category, qualifications, experience and site rules required for the assignment. We will discuss the checks and any client assessment or induction before a start is confirmed. For specialist work, describe any additional qualifications or vehicle experience needed.
Can I request warehouse staff as well as drivers?
